Larry and Blake Bilyeu
Larry Bilyeu has been building custom designed homes in the Willamette Valley for the past 18 years. As a Marion-Polk Building Industry 'Certified Master Builder' he has worked diligently to create and maintain the highest standards in home design, building construction and personal service to customers. Larry served on the 2000-2004 Board of Directors for MPBIA and as their 2004 President. With a life-long interest in the environment, he served as a member of the 2002-2004 Salem Environmental Commission.
Blake Bilyeu,
a 2002 Graduate of Oregon State University in Environmental Science,
is committed
to maximizing the performance of new homes and reducing their
ecological footprint both during and after construction. Blake has completed his certification as an Earth Advantage "Sustainable Homes
Professional” (SHP), and is also an active Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC).
Larry
and Blake have focused on building energy efficient and
environmentally conscious homes that meet Earth Advantage®
standards, and were the builders of the first all electric "Earth Smart" home, Salem's first Energy
Star® home, the Northwest's first LEED Platinum certified home, Oregon's first High Performance Home, and the West Coast's first Certified Passive House (new construction). Bilyeu Homes has a dedication to sustainable, healthier building practices, and is committed to furthering their involvement and education in Green Building. Together, Larry and Blake work in applying their collective philosophies and methodologies in minimizing the negative role that their homes have on the environment.
